How to calculate lever mechanical advantage

Mechanical advantage is the effort arm divided by the load arm, both measured from the fulcrum. Multiply the load by the load arm and divide by the effort arm to get the effort needed.

Lever examples

500 N load, 0.5 m load arm, 2 m effort arm
